SF Site's Best SF and Fantasy Books of 2009: Readers' Choice

Paul McAuley has placed twice in SF Site's Best SF and Fantasy Books of 2009: Readers' Choice Poll, with Gardens of the Sun at #10 and The Quiet War at # 6. Both books are tied with other works (Cory Doctorow's Makers and Adam Roberts' Yellow Blue Tibia respectively).

  2. Yes. It's definitely a duology. There might be other books in the future of this universe, but these two books tell one complete story.

  3. Yes, they certainly do. It's one of the rare series that I feel like the story is complete at the end. Of course, stories about individual characters can be written on the periphery, but they aren't essential to making this series feel complete.

    Is there something of his that I should read next?
